I agree with Jon, you should inform you marketing person that all of their so called "artsy" software runs faster on windows and adding a system that you are not familiar with adds substantial costs and time commitments.
That being said, we support a handful of them and yes you can file share and access exchange (using entourage, the Microsoft email client for Macintosh).
