Check to make sure what that switch is, exactly. I have 6 2950Ts, and they are fixed configuration, and don't allow several things that I'd like to have, especially port security. They can't be upgraded, either.
I'd strongly recommend checking out the equivalent HP product, as it is usually much cheaper, much more capable, and has lifetime warranty.
