Just one other question, I noticed that the 48 ports (which I require) Doesn't say that they are auto sensing, like some of the other models?
Does that mean when I plug this in I have to configure the ports manually to operate at 1000tx? FYI the 29xx series switches (old 2900XL, 2950, 2960, 2970) are "entry-level" units - the only think not entry-level about them is the price! The only "bad" thing about HP is they don't have the Cisco sticker on 'em - the entry level HP 2510 (10/100) and 2810 (10/100/1000) switches cost quite a bit less than a Cisco and has all the features Kurt is missing and reliability and performance that's exactly the same.
