I have heard good things about winmagic. I have not used it yet or really even looked at it but I am planning on it next week.

They have several offerings, but the one we're using is the standalone Encryption Plus Hard Disk. Encrypts the entire drive, no format required, and you set up the client install file as you want. You can enable/disable single sign-on, allow/disallow the user to change the encryption username, have the password expire/or not, etc. The initial encryption can take a while, even on fast setting, but it's pretty easy to use afterwards. The encryption login comes up before the laptop goes into OS...
