I don't think anyone is claiming that Microsoft is somehow better because there 
are "many eyes" reviewing Microsoft's source code.

The claim made by open source advocates is that, because the source is open to 
inspection by all and sundry, bugs are discovered earlier in the development 
process, and the resulting software has fewer bugs.

Hence we have patch Tuesdays because Microsoft's code is full of bugs.
