Were you imaging the disk, or were you doing a files/folders backup with
it? Doesn't sound right, as we've never had a problem with TrueImage
Workstation or Server versions. We haven't yet updated to the new
"Echo" release though. What did their tech support say?

I installed Acronis True Image Echo Workstation and...

It choked when it hit the first locked file, followed by a crash.

Hmmm.... Thoughts?

I'm using True Image Workstation 9.1.

Yes, it handles open files fine. I believe it works at the block level
rather than the file level so open or closed makes no difference.

Which version?

Does it handle open files?

That's what I do at home. Works great.

It will also send you an email when it's done to tell you the result.

Large Disks. It creates a compressed image file, and it can do full /
diffs

Afternoon all.

I have a need to backup an XP desktop which has about 400GB of data to a
NAS on a nightly basis.

I need to be able to backup locked files as the user does not log out.

We've been using Symantec BESR, but it ALWAYS shows an error for one
reason or another including the fact that the pagefile drive (dedicated
partition) is not being backed up.

What do you guys recommend for use on a single, standalone, non-AD
machine?
