The Wyse OS such as in the S10 you can't install local apps and setting up
local printers can be a pain. If you are connecting

To just a published app or desktop then that may be fine. For manufacturing
environment like yours that is probably ok. Just

replace when it breaks. For users with higher computing needs they can be
frustrated by the limitations. The S90 with the

embedded XP has more of the look and feel of a normal desktop. WDM replaces
rapport. Rapport was very buggy.

How do you plan on using them?

We use them in our manufacturing environment running the Wyse OS to run an
HP/UX app (IP and Digiport printing is fine), a couple ASP.Net apps on IIS
(IP printing is fine) and several Win 2K3 TS apps (forget about printing).
I've never installed anything locally. If one breaks (which is rare -- and
warranty repairs are quick), I just replace it and move on.

We use Rapport (the Wyse software) for remote administration.
