I pushed the GPO extensions a few weeks before I did it, but a huge number of computers did not get them as it is summer. So far no problems with that at all. I did schema update then installed a new 2008 DC. The whole thing was a non-event. Ours is a native 2003 domain.
The only thing I am having an issue with is moving my Cert Server over to 2008. We use Certs' over Radius for our wireless access points and that is turning into a struggle. Any gotcha's to watch out for that are not well documented? The domain and forest is at 2000 Native and I can not take it to 2003. I upgraded this domain from 2000 to 2003 years ago but at the time we planned on retiring all of the hardware that was running the 2000 domain. We will not be doing that this time. The domain does have the 2003 Exchange extensions as well. I am off to read up on doing this.
