MS Project Server 2003, it's flaky. We're on about our 4th installation of it, when a fellow admin of mine went to training (official MS training) for it, he was told by the instructor that if you get a stable installation of Project Server by the 4th or 5th installation of it you are doing good. Our unwritten rule for when a ticket comes in from a user on Project Server is that we wait a couple of days and the issue mysteriously clears up......
Take a look at Project.net We looked at this product and really really liked it, but couldn't get budget approval for it. If you're brave, they have free option available (open source).
