The local installs are probably much more stable than Project Server. Any issues?

I've heard the same things about Project Server. I have another friend that is on his 3rd install right now and it still is acting up. Any alternatives out there that are stable and just as easy to set up? Thanks.. ________________________________ From: Sherry Abercrombie [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2008 9:38 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Re: Project Management Software... MS Project Server 2003, it's flaky. We're on about our 4th installation of it, when a fellow admin of mine went to training (official MS training) for it, he was told by the instructor that if you get a stable installation of Project Server by the 4th or 5th installation of it you are doing good. Our unwritten rule for when a ticket comes in from a user on Project Server is that we wait a couple of days and the issue mysteriously clears up...... Take a look at Project.net We looked at this product and really really liked it, but couldn't get budget approval for it. If you're brave, they have free option available (open source).
