We're currently using a regular x86 server running Linux, with a home-grown iptables firewall script and OpenVPN. It works great, and you can't beat the price, but unless you have good in-house *nix experience, I wouldn't recommend it for you. For appliances, in the past I've been impressed with NetScreen (since acquired by Juniper, IIRC). They weren't overly inexpensive -- purchase and maintenance both -- but they worked real well. Better than the Cisco gear I was exposed to at the time. -- Ben ~ Upgrade to Next Generation Antispam/Antivirus with Ninja! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/SunbeltMessagingNinja.cfm> ~
