Ahh, probably I normally shut that off cuz in centos we are using drbd so we
turn all the disk junk off. Makes sense ..

Well it would have happened their as well as CentOS defaults to using LVM as
well and that is what seems to mess with WinXP...

Yah I went to bootdisk.com and grabbed a bootdisk and fdisk /mbr, I figured
that would work, just usually play with centos and never saw this before.

I hadn't seen your reply when I remembered the tool but I used to have
a boot floppy and boot cd with the tools on it.

On the other hand, DBan should also work because it's a nice self
contained CD though it does go a little further then diskpart :)
