You can do this via GPOs, and the Print Management console. Unfortunately for XP clients you need to have pushprinterconnections.exe available (e.g. on DFS) and call it. Cheers Ken

I do it with a script, in the login script. I check group memberships, and assign printers accordingly (I try to have each department be it's own group).
