I think this would vary on the files being modified and settings. A quick look on one of my file servers - about 25 GB of data, the Volume Shadow Copy settings are for 3 scheduled copies per day and no maximum size. It currently has 66 copies going back 22 days, and the storage space used is about 8.5 GB.
