Carlos,

I'm interested in your comment on the ESET admin interface. I've been
testing various AV solutions over the past several weeks, including
Trend, Sophos, Vipre and NOD32, and I currently have CA. The only one
that had me completely baffled was the NOD32 console - nothing seemed to
be straight forward or intuitive. For example, I created groups, but
then couldn't do anything with them - no right click options, no
properties or settings.

Is it just me - does everyone else who uses or has tried ESET find the
console easy to use?

Maybe I need to install it again and take a fresh look.

Ralph

We switched from Symantec 10.5 and 11.0 to ESET NOD32, and couldn't be
happier, Users complain less, the admin panel is very simple and the
server + client programs aren't resource hogs

Hi folks,

I know this is not an unusual request, but just thought I might get some
updated opinions from people. I'm thinking of re-evaluating our
allegiance to Trend Micro for desktop antivirus. Not that they've done
anything wrong, just think it's time to take a look around and see if
newer or better things are out there.

My top three requirements would be:

1) Excellent threat detection record and frequent updates to threat
definitions.

2) Good admin interface with easy and reliable remote installs.

3) Good deep scanning ability of clients with a real-time scan that
doesn't hog resources.

I've heard good things about Kaspersky. Anyone have thoughts about going
in that direction?

And yes, Stu, I know you will recommend Vipre... <g>. Just looking for
some unbiased user opinions.

Feel free to email me off-list if more comfortable.

Thanks,

Evan
