The data is stored in the users mailbox, so when you reconnected them it gets the info back. The manager will also tell you if it's talking to their BB devices so you shouldn't have to wait till tomorrow to see if it's working.
So it sounds like it's working correctly to me. From: Gavin Wilby [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 3:58 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Blackberry server reinstall. Hi, Tonight I had to flatten a BES server and reinstall from scratch (XP to 2003 std server, dont ask). This has all gone well and I have added the new CALS and keys, then added the original users. After a short time all the user entries have got the PIN numbers of the devices for all the users, even though the original install has been destroyed and there is no other BB server or platform on site. No devices have yet been added, so how on earth does the server know this? Is this normal behaviour? Does the CAL/ SRP or something "hold" this information somewhere and then pick it back up again. More to the point, have I done something wrong? I wont know if the server works till later on tomorrow morning.
