We run a reconciliation between our SMS box, our AD infrastructure, EPO, WSUS, Solarwinds, Symantec, and Remedy. We're in the process of scripting an insertion of a trouble ticket for someone to physically clean these issues up. Currently, someone has to manually clean them - and I'm not sure how that is being accomplished though. But, yes, we're having the same issue here too.

If you have something that can easily give you a list of machines, already organized by category (servers vs workstations vs laptops or whatever), I think you should start there.
