The dual processors and 4 GB of ram make the difference, not the bandwidth. That is where you will see a big jump in performance for browser start up times, multi-tabbed windows, and rendering.
Your comment reminds me of when I worked as a tech in the IT department at a major University circa original napster where I sat on a gigabit switch right off the OC-48 for the entire University.
