Because once again Wall Streeters forgot simply economics. Don't lend money to people who can't pay it back. Greed blinded them to that simple axiom. But let's be careful with the Keating 5 ref to McCain (not that I'm supporting him). He met once and the only reason he got listed was the Dems had 4 Senators with dirty hands but no Rep so the Dems scrambled to get at least 1 Rep involved.
