I ended up buying a used perc 5i off ebay and putting it in a precision 390 and it's worked great for months until yesterday when for some reason every time I stress my guest ESX locks up and I have to power cycle the box. ESX only works with certain raid cards and there is a FAQ on there web site that lists them.

I've loaded up VMware ESXi 3.5 onto the server. However when I try to create a VM for RHEL 4, the installation always fails say that it can't find any disks on which to install the O/S. I'm assuming this has to do with the RAID controller? Has anyone successfully deployed RHEL 4 in this configuration or could someone point me in the right direction? TIA. ************************************************************************ The information in this internet E-mail is confidential and is intended solely for the addressee.
