We are mostly in a purchasing freeze for new projects. Existing projects get
to move forward though. I was just told by the owner to try and negotiate
all software purchases with the software vendors, his thought being that
they have a margin that can be sliced.

I doubt Microsoft will listen to my requests of a price reduction though.
