I don't power on my external drive except for when I'm running a backup. Rotate two of them, you cut your POH in half, increasing life even more. So I don't know that getting two is such a major concern unless they're both powered on continuously from day one.
And, I neglected to say that to buy two at the rebate price you'd have to have the second one bought by a friend anyway (for the rebate). You think these prices are good? Wait 3 weeks and shop Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Those dates combined with the renewed and improved recession should make for free-after-rebate or nearly so. Last week Frys.com was selling 4GB of Kingston PC2-6400 for $12.99 after rebate. They may be from the same "batch", and may have a failure at of very near the same time. -- ME2 On Sun, Nov 9, 2008 at 6:28 PM, Carl Houseman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > www.newegg.com - $59 after rebate plus about $10 shipping.
