This is not any kind of big deal, Windows (XP) has been doing this forever and I just blame it on typical Microsoft broken software, but I frequently see machines that are event logging that Windows needs to be activated within 30 days, but it doesn't. It won't ask to be activated, wont pop up a tray message, and wont refuse to log on. Windows just likes to happily plop that event into the application log - who knows why, just for the hell of it I guess.
I know its really a non-issue but out of curiosity I don't suppose any of you have ever found a reason for that weirdness? Phillip Partipilo Parametric Solutions Inc.
