Next step - find out how it got on there in the first place so it won't happen again.

Malwarebytes said it got rid of everything but upon reboot some would come back. Installed our current version of Symantec crapware. It said it found something and I let it remove it. Upon reboot nothing worked right. I backed up the few important files and am reloading xp. My time is worth more that the aggravation of figuring this out.
