Well, that was a bit of an exaggeration - they're not *all* linux-heads, but the ones implementing it are,and are pretty vocal in their stance.
It's an aversion to integration of the web server, not to apache as such, AFIACT. They've gotten stuck on the idea that it can all be done through Cyrus SASL, ldap and svnserve, with nothing else on the box. Color me skeptical.
