We're still ironing out a couple of weird things, but overall I've been pleased. I'm SO glad to be rid of tapes, and backups are much quicker. Restoring files is a breeze, too.
With our backup patterns, the de-duplication process is very effective. We're currently getting a > 28:1 ratio. Note that Exchange GRT backups don't currently work correctly; the company says that will be fixed within the next couple of weeks. GRT Hyper-V backups don't work, either, but the fix for that is longer on the horizon (not surprising, since the Backup Exec Hyper-V agent is brand new).
