As will all Dell solutions, they are basically OEMs from other companies i.e. Fujitsu for Dell blades, Quantum for Powervault products, Xerox and Lexmark for printers, Samsung and Acer for monitors etc. Equallogic is an excellent product. The only change I have experienced is that when they were bought by Dell it was much more difficult to get part numbers and specs so that you could compare to other solutions. Part of the difficulty is that Equallogic was absorbed by Dell so there was a learning curve for all related employees during transition for both companies.
