  Oh, right, sorry.  My comments on managed switches only apply to
their "Managed Switches" line, not the cheaper "Web Managed Switches"
line.  They sell an even cheaper "Unmanaged" line, too; those are not
managed at all.  ;-)  They all have the warranty/support, tho.  :)

  Cisco's stuff always seemed good to me from a technology
stand-point, but I find it's way overpriced for almost everybody's
needs.  Especially when you factor in the cost of SMARTnet.  Yikes!
They don't just nickel-and-dime you, they quarter-and-dollar you.

  I'd like to hear from someone who's tried both how the HP's do at
layer three tasks.  I know they're rock-solid and quite fast at layer
two, but routing is a whole different ball game.

  HP has a web forum for their stuff.  I suspect it's not as good as
Cisco's, though.  Lots of experts know Cisco.
