What are you confused about. The problem is that the SBS VPN connection
it creates on client devices forces all traffic to the remote network.
Actually a default when creating a PPTP in Windows. Delete it. Create
a NEW PPTP connection to your server and then goto the TCP/IP properties
of the new connection, goto advanced and uncheck Use Default Gateway on
Remote network. All traffic that is not destined for the remote network
will go out using your local Internet and only traffic destined to the
remote network (Your SBS Network) will go there.

I had to hit the dictionary to lookup what you mean by
"contraindicated" and I'm not quite sure what point you were going
after.

I'm also still confused on how to solve this problem.
