I set up one of those for a linux machine I could not get to work wirelessly a few years ago. I have a converted two family with two breaker panels, and travels from a circuit on one, to a circuit on another. I haven't had a bit of problem with it. Now that I think about it, the second circuit is on the second floor, and is likely knob and tube for some part of it.
