Couldn't you just put the command in the RUN key under HKLM/Software...... (you know the way, right)

Pretty easy to do, just specify the script name. If you don't want to do the domain Group Policy, you can edit the local policy object on any computer by running GPEDIT.MSC directly on that computer.
