I have been noticing quite a failure rate in Seagate drives as of lately. A shame, they used to be amongst the best. Just in this past two weeks I had a 500gb and 1TB 7200.11 take a dump. The 1TB didnt even trigger SMART even though SeaTools clearly showed defects. I had two 1tb 7200.11 drives show up completely defective DOA from Newegg, No apparent shipping damage, and drives were well packed. Made these very loud clicks in operation.
