All, I'm running a Win2k Pro VM on ESX 3.0.2, and need to move the VM to a different box, running ESX 3.5. The old hardware has a parallel port, and the new box doesn't.
I need the parallel port because the app running on the VM uses a parallel port dongle for licensing. I've scored a USB-parallel cable, which presents the female parallel port, so that I can attach the dongle, but I'm not seeing any way to make the new box see the parallel port, so that I can assign it to the VM. Anyone seen/done something like this, and can give me some pointers?
