Personally I've had great success with Linksys. I always get the WRT54GL and
flash with DD-WRT, but I've got the DD firmware running on other versions as
well. It seems to be a common point of contention that the power adapters
for Linksys are not up to snuff longterm, and some people have posted that
purchasing a switching power adapter (IIRC) solved all the problems they
were having with needing reboots.

I'll have to disagree with Jon about the DLink's. I have had more issues
with Linksys and Netgear. I have yet to have any bad issues with the
dlinks, and I never have to reboot them.

Personally I liked the Cisco units but I have Linksys running. Since these
are only for "outsiders" to use I don't care that they need to be rebooted
occasionally. The Cisco seemed to need restarting less.

The space is about 1000 sq. ft. so coverage isn't too much of an issue.

I've used Linksys products in the past with pretty good success. Cost is a
primary consideration. Which other products, both Access Points and NICs
should I consider?
