I always get the WRT54GL and flash with DD-WRT, but I've got the DD firmware running on other versions as well. It seems to be a common point of contention that the power adapters for Linksys are not up to snuff longterm, and some people have posted that purchasing a switching power adapter (IIRC) solved all the problems they were having with needing reboots. -- Mike Gill From: Jake Gardner [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 09, 2009 8:58 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: Wireless AP & NIC Recommendation I'll have to disagree with Jon about the DLink's. I have had more issues with Linksys and Netgear. I have yet to have any bad issues with the dlinks, and I never have to reboot them. Since these are only for "outsiders" to use I don't care that they need to be rebooted occasionally. The Cisco seemed to need restarting less. Which other products, both Access Points and NICs should I consider?
