If you are using ESX, it always pays to make sure your hosts are syncing as
well...we used to wonder why one of our AD-integrated systems (Excalibur)
always choked when it rebooted, till we realised VMWare Tools makes the host
sync with the guest on restart. Obviously the AD-integrated stuff is
extra-sensitive to time differences, as you'd expect, and Excalibur was
failing before the PDCe could kick in and set the time correctly. Once we
synced up the ESX servers to an NTP source, everything started behaving
again, no more reports of time skews through Ops Manager.
