I think the bigger question is what are you trying to replicate and how do
you plan to restore?

Exchange/SQL/AD

Restore: Turn on in the WAN location? Bring systems/data back ???

So some general products that have used: XOsoft WANsync , Symantec
Netbackup, DRBD (SAN), Datacore (SAN w/ lower bandwidth)

For a bunch of documents I like the DFS option if you have good static
connectivity, but you don't have a lot of controls in place, Windows
determines how/what/when it syncs. Still it's a set it and forget it
option.

Subject: Backups Over WAN

For those of you who are backing up over the WAN:

Wwhat types of hardware and software are required for this to work
efficiently?

Does it only work well with deduplication?

Would I have to rethink my nightly/weekly/monthly backup strategies?

I'm currently working with BE 12 soon to be 12.5 and would like to stick
with that if possible. And we have about 5 TB total data stored right now.
