I have to say, our previous copier/scanner/fax device (also a Kyocera) had
that sort of utility, but then Kyocera got smart and just started using SMB
shares. :-)

We have the same software (Sharp Network Scanner Tool) and we install it on
"server" that is always logged in with a locked desktop - since it can't run
as a service. Then it just drops its results to network shares and that way
it's only installed in one spot.

Sharp (the copier company) has a network scanning utility that allows you to
scan from the copier to your computer.

And the application is...?

I have this application that "requires" the user to be a local admin or
power user.
I have confirmed that it doesn't run properly if the user is not at least a
power user.
My question is... is there some way I can tell WHY this app requires this
level of permission?
And more specifically... how can I find out what I need to tweak to get it
to run as a regular user? Folder/file NTFS permissions or registry entries,
perhaps?
Thanks
