I have to say, our previous copier/scanner/fax device (also a Kyocera) had that sort of utility, but then Kyocera got smart and just started using SMB shares. :-)

We have the same software (Sharp Network Scanner Tool) and we install it on "server" that is always logged in with a locked desktop - since it can't run as a service. Then it just drops its results to network shares and that way it's only installed in one spot. - Andy O. ________________________________________ From: David Mazzaccaro [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, March 06, 2009 2:25 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: Application requires local admin or power user? And more specifically... how can I find out what I need to tweak to get it to run as a regular user? Folder/file NTFS permissions or registry entries, perhaps?
