We have OCS running in dev, but only for a few users and no external IM capabilities. Last time we checked, I believe the price was $1 per user per year to have access to all public IM networks (MSN, AIM, Yahoo). >From my understanding, you can federate with another organization without paying, just costs for public IM connectivity.
