It's strange that these files aren't even showing up at all when I look at the 
directory from a DOS prompt.

It was in the older RK's, IIRC the POSIX utils were removed when SFU came out 
circa w2k res kit. There are a number of OSS alternatives. Look for one of 
Kurt's posts, he posts about them frequently.

Probably something like http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/ or 
http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/fileutils.htm

Don't see rm.exe in the Windows Resource Kit.  I even downloaded it again and 
reinstalled, no joy.  Am I being blind, here?

I have a user that has some files that are 0 bytes in size.  The names of these 
files have all kinds of punctuation, and therefore, no real file type.  When I 
try to delete them, I get an error saying Cannot delete file:  Cannot read from 
the source file or disk.

Any ideas on how to get rid of these files?
