That shortcut copy trick worked, cool.  It's been a few years since I
abandoned Vista, so its slowly coming back :-)  Thanks.

Not a clue where that location would have been found in the first place.
Trying to make this install as much like XP as possible so as to not freak
out the office staff (a bunch of engineers who know exactly where everything
is and are hard set in their ways).

Do you mean you can't see your XP descriptions when browsing from Vista?
If so - try this:

Open My Network Places on a XP machine and expand Entire Network and MS
Windows Network. Then right drag your Domain to your desktop and select
create shortcut. Finally copy that shortcut to your Vista box, double click
and see the description in details view.

This is bizarre.  Ok, I'm biting the bullet and we needed to rebuild the
conference room PC and the idea came up to throw Vista Business x64 onto it
(got Biz so we know we can downgrade if it sucks).

Well, we can't see the computer description when browsing our network.
That's a huge deal breaker since all our PCs are numbered and we put the
employee name in the description.

Is there a way to turn this on?
