It almost sounds as if it is appending, even though you have it set to not
append. Do any of the files get bigger after a job runs?

Subject: Weird Veritas issue.

 

Ok, this is totally freaking me out.

 

Older server backing up with Veritas 9.1. Backup to disk folder is
h:\full6. Look at the jobs, they complete just fine. Test restores
complete just fine. Look inside Veritas and I can see all the recent
backup files going back to March 1 as it should be. It is not set to
append so it is not reusing old files.

 

Look at the backup to disk folder on the H drive and there is nothing past
3\15.

 

Search every hard drive on the server for the names of the Veritas files
returns nothing.

 

Run a job and look for connections to another server..nothing. 

 

This is really weird and makes zero sense.
