Ok, you got me in the right direction. It is overwriting but not changing the
file name on the hard drive. But it still shows the old filename and the new
filename within the Veritas GUI.

This one just backs up other server. So for now I will make a new folder and
new media set and see how that goes.

It almost sounds as if it is appending, even though you have it set to not
append. Do any of the files get bigger after a job runs?

Ok, this is totally freaking me out.

Older server backing up with Veritas 9.1. Backup to disk folder is h:\full6.
Look at the jobs, they complete just fine. Test restores complete just fine.
Look inside Veritas and I can see all the recent backup files going back to
March 1 as it should be. It is not set to append so it is not reusing old files.

Look at the backup to disk folder on the H drive and there is nothing past 3\15.

Search every hard drive on the server for the names of the Veritas files
returns nothing.

Run a job and look for connections to another server....nothing.

This is really weird and makes zero sense.
