How was WSUS or Sharepoint removed? Improperly? If so, re-install one
and/or the other and then properly remove them.

You can also try resetting automatic updates.

Would like to make a minor annoyance go away

Have an older windows 2003 server is running DHCP and DNS it evidently
ran WSUS or Sharepoint at sometime in the past

It insists that "Windows Internal Database" needs to be patched, it is
not there so the patch fails. Any "easy" way to clean this box up?

Thanks

David
