Doesn't work for me on XP SP3 but I'm switching to CPAU anyhow. Today, I saw the error of my ways using /SAVECRED from a purely security perspective in this posting:

If I run the command the first time (/savecred, local account, etc) while on the network, give it the password, I can then unplug my network cable and the same command works without prompting for a password.. Correct. Using /savecred with runas prompts for the password the first time its run and then "caches" the password. Then it just runs without prompting subsequent times. I think my use of the term "cache" was what was causing confusion with AD cached credentials. My fault. :) - Andy O. ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
