As the OP, I just want to throw in my review from the last week with the iPhone
vs. my Bold.

The Bold is FAR easier to type on. There may be a learning curve for touch vs.
tactile typing, but the Bold has about the best keyboard ever.

The iPhone screen is larger, brighter and far better.

Surfing on the iPhone is wonderful... Blackberry could learn a few things from
them on providing the user a good web surfing experience.

The Bold has greater battery life, however, by turning off Active sync and
changing to 30 min and/or manual fetch , the iPhone is giving me a full day and
still is about ΒΌ left at the end of the day, even with 3G on. I get far too
much email for full time Active Sync with the power consumption of the iPhone.
YMMV.

The iPhone VPN and RDP app (free download) is a good replacement for the Remote
admin app I had on my Bold. (Needed BES and a second install server to work).
The larger screen makes the RDP experience better. I was able to unlock and
reset a user password from the iPhone in only a few seconds.

The lack of background processing is a bummer on the iPhone.

There are far far far far far more apps for the iPhone than the Bold and many
are very handy (and free), but I think everyone knew this already.

The lack of support of Live Communications Server on iPhone is a small issue
for me.

So, I have still not decided if I will keep the iPhone or not, but I do like it
quite a bit.
