My budget is what the wife deems isn't inappropriate. Sm:)e

In all seriousness, I'm looking for something fairly inexpensive. I'm just
looking for something that A> can be a file storage for our important files
(Movies, images, documents, etc) B> Have redundancy (Raid1 is enough, espcially
wit 1TB Hard drives for less than $100) and C> Expandable (As always, I'll end
up filling the drive. Moving an existing system to a new harddrive is a pain.
Drobo's system is awesome, QNAP has something simular but not as slick).

The system I'm looking at is the TP-219, as it's the lowest cost model to
include the live expansion function. But it's $400, while the Drobo is $500...

Comparison:

QNAP Drobo
-------------------
2-bay 4-bay
NAS DAS *(Droboshare is extra)
$400 $500

Anybody know of another NAS that does the 0-downtime expansion?
