There are some more aggressive spam filters out there! Folks with newer Baccacuda devices are driving us nuts! The devices are by-passing our hosted SMPT service (Postini) and trying to trace the source to our Notes server inside our firewall. Since it can't penetrate our firewall, the message is rejected (sometimes telling us so, sometimes simply killing it).
In one case, I knew the Barracuda administrator, so he white-listed us. In another case, there was a link to Barracuda where one could protest, be temporarily white-listed, and explain why you should remain white-listed. My attempts here failed - even during this "temporary" period our mail was rejected. -- Richard D. McClary Systems Administrator, Information Technology Group ASPCA® 1717 S.
