The SCSI initiator negotiates any speed faster than "asynchronous" (dog slow), so in theory, the drives should work. The server will negotiate Ultra 2 and the drive's SCSI interface will run at that speed. That said, occasionally manufactures would assume you'd run at a certain speed and their SCSI implementation would puke if they didn't get it.
