You don't mention the version, but if you are on 3 or higher and using express installation files (options, update files and languages), you might be able to remove those and run cleanup again to get some additional space, but that is probably just a band-aid.
BTW, do you mean that the WSUS server + OS are all sharing one 20GB partition? If you are thinking of moving it so it has its own 20GB volume, I can dig around in my notes-I have done that before, but it has been a while. -Bonnie From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, July 14, 2009 6:04 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Cleaning up a WSUS server Greetings! My WSUS server runs off a 20 Gb partition. I have a second, nearly blank 20 Gb disk in the same machine. The WSUS volume is nearly full. I have twice run the "Cleanup wizard". Each time, it reports that it has cleared out a few Mb disk space. However, when I then look at the disk itself, it shows less space than before. (The recycler claims to be empty.) I guess I could go through the whole list of updates and disapprove some of them. I'd prefer to get that second volume used. Currently, though, it appears my "options" come to either setting up a new and bigger WSUS server, or combining the two 20 Gb volumes into a single volume (the dreaded software RAID), and this too would be essentially whacking the current WSUS and making a new one.
